As Someone Who Will Never Buy A House, I'm Super Curious If These 25 Problems Would Be Deal Breakers

An "open concept bathroom" is going to be a deal breaker for me.

Buying a house is a big commitment. Whether you're anywhere near being able to do it or not, you probably have a rough idea of what your dream home would look like.

Thinking about the things I would (and wouldn't) want in a hypothetical home made me really curious to know: Would you still buy a house that was perfect for you in every other way if it had...

Note: I know some of these issues can be fixed, but just for funsies, let's pretend you'd *have to* live with them for at least a year before renovating.

1. Windows that look directly into your neighbors' houses.

2. A random toilet installed in the kitchen.

3. No windows in the bedroom.

4. Poor cellphone reception.

5. A garage that you can't actually park in.

6. A very "involved" homeowners' association.

7. Popcorn ceilings.

13. Very little storage space.

14. An awkward layout.

15. Concrete floors.

18. Carpet that is older than you are.

19. Carpet in the bathroom.

20. What about an extremely chaotic staircase?

21. Whatever this is.

22. Tricky electrical outlet placements.

23. No outdoor space.

24. Poorly crafted and un-permitted renovations.
