He blinked a few times, went "oh", got up and booked it out of the room. He tried to avoid me the rest of the time, but a mutual colleague "introduced" us the next day. So of course, I went "we've met". It was an experience, start to finish.
I was at an academic conference once, and a guy who was sitting next to me at a session started to mansplain this recent paper that had come out about the topic. I was trying to interject, but he kept cutting me off, saying that it may go over my head so he'd explain it to me.

I work as a summer camp registrar. Today I got yelled at by a parent because she forgot summer was coming and doesn't want her kids at home. Most of our camps are closed, registration opens in February. But this is my fault, apparently.
