I just think it's time for a second attempt on The Giver.

There are few things more thrilling to a book lover than learning that one of their favorites is getting a TV or movie adaptation. (And few things as demoralizing as going to see it and realizing that this thing you love and cherish has been turned into something you...don't love and cherish.)
