Halloween candy, root vegetables, turkey, stuffing, pies, cookies, spiced apple cider– Fall is the very best time of year for food. Every holiday from the beginning of autumn to the end of the year has it's own special dish that you've been looking forward to for months. There isn't much that comforts you more than the warmth of the oven and the smell of a good meal.

Fall Foods

You're the kind of person that will derail an entire conversation in order to point out a particularly good dog, but especially now that it's dog sweater season. It makes your whole day. The stupider looking, the better. Bonus points for little booties as well.

Dogs In Sweaters

The more the better. Lots of pockets to hide things, lots of colors to match, basically an excuse to make like you're bundled in a blanket all day. You like big soft things, scarves, and earth tones. If you're a knitter this is the season that's pumping you up to get crafty.

Layers

It may seem like a small thing, but you've been waiting all year to breathe in some fall air in. Somehow it feels like you've been holding your breath for months, and this is the first time you've been able to let your lungs expand. It's cool, clear, and liberating.

Crisp Autumn Air

When you see that first tree change there's a little bit of magic in the air. Even though everything's dying it all seems to be going out in a fiery, crunchy blaze of glory. There's something special about it being temporary, like slow fireworks. You can take pictures, but there's nothing quite like looking at brilliant autumn leaves with your own two eyes.

Changing Leaves

Whether you're single or spoken for, fall is the season for you to grow closer to the people you care about. Whether you're bundling up for the winter with your S.O., or just planning a lot of cozy board game nights with your friends, there's something about the incoming cold that makes you affectionate.
