What a difference 13 years makes. It was that long ago when Taylor Swift was a breakthrough artist at the CMT Awards, and tonight she reminded the world of that when she made a virtual appearance at the event.
Taylor Zoomed in to present the CMT award for Breakthrough Video of the Year.
"I was honored to win this award 13 years ago because it's voted on by the fans," she told the nominees, who included Blanco Brown, Gabby Barrett, Caylee Hammack, Ingrid Andress, Riley Green, and Travis Denning.
"The CMT Breakthrough Video of the Year shines a light on a brand-new artist, and I can't wait to see who you've chosen this year."
The winner was Gabby for her "I Hope" video.
Back in September, another lifetime ago, Taylor performed her Folklore track "Betty" for the first time at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Sadly, it may be a while before we're treated to another live performance by Taylor — but in the meantime, you can act on her plea and vote!
"We need everyone," she recently shared. "And it is more important than I can even possibly say."
