Gigi Hadid Defended Her Right To Wear Comfortable Clothes After A Fan Questioned Her Style

    Leggings for all.

Gigi Hadid is always serving outfit inspo, whether she's running in between shows, meetings, or just running errands.

She makes sweatpants look like high fashion.

And wears athleisure with the grace of couture.

So it's pretty shocking that someone would dare to question her off-duty style. But a person on Twitter did, tweeting "she's such a natural beauty... idk what happened to her iconic street style tho," before deleting it.

Well Gigi saw the tweet, when it was briefly retweeted by fan account @doublegiforce, and responded with the ultimate mic drop.

She was not having anyone police her decision to wear comfortable clothes, rightfully so.

She defended her right to dress only for herself and shut down "unrealistic expectations" about what she should wear.

@doublegiforce @doublegiforce U guys need to calm tf down sometimes. It’s called stepping out to do one errand- not dressing for your approval. Your unrealistic expectations & petty complaining all the time about my style or not being sexy enough isn’t going to make me dress differently.

She also called out how gross it is to try to force specific style choices on someone else.

@doublegiforce Not just talking about this specific comment. U all talk about empowering women. I support and empower women that show skin and that don’t. It’s about choice. I show skin when I want to and still feel sexy covered head to toe & will continue to do so. Over the snarky comments.

Ultimately, fashion is a personal thing. It's how we express ourselves, and that's not for anyone else to decide, as Gigi explained.

@fetishformyself I like what I wear and wear it for that reason. It’s not about a stylist, it’s how I’m choosing to express myself. Your opinion isn’t going to change that. Those of you who feel this way should focus your energy on praising those whose style u love. Peace.

    Carry on, Gigi.
