A "Friends" Reunion Is In The Works And It's A Lot More Official Than That Instagram Selfie Jennifer Aniston Posted

This could be what Matthew Perry has been teasing.

Back in November it first came to light that a Friends reunion special could be in the works at HBO Max. Now, it seems like this dream might soon become a reality.

We're one step closer to getting an hourlong version of this!

Apparently, the cast's negotiations stalled at the end of last year but it has since picked back up and all that's left is some signatures, according to Deadline. Those signatures would grant each cast member between $3 million and $4 million just to appear on an hourlong, unscripted reunion special.

This special, which sounds a lot like a group chat, would coincide with HBO Max bringing the full series to fans on its upcoming streaming service.

TBH, it makes sense that the reunion we may be getting is more of a fun hang with the cast than it is an update on the lives of the characters — especially because co-creator and executive producer Marta Kauffman shared that she and her collaborator David Crane have no interest in doing that.

This kind of reunion special is the next best thing.

It also could be what Matthew Perry has been teasing.

Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer for the cast's next get-together (and group selfie).
