“When the Moon Was Ours” by AnnaMarie McLemore. It’s this lush magical realist YA novel that reads like a fairytale. Her writing is otherworldly with how beautiful it is, and one of the protagonists is a trans boy. It’s poignant and utterly gorgeous.
The one where Hitchcock is taking a nap at his desk and Jake puts Hitchcock’s fingers in warm water to make him pee only to have Hitchcock almost drown. It’s peak absurdity and pretty much the best you get of the perpetual Hitchcock/Scully nonsense.
