Promising review: "This is my first time ever using clippers on my dog (we have always had shorthair). I got this to try to save about $50 a month and I am not disappointed in the slightest. We have an Aussie doodle with A LOT of hair, with it getting hot here recently he has been miserable and before I took him to the groomers I decided to see what I could do. It turned out great! He looks great!! I was also able to do my mother’s dog. She has a cocker spaniel, chihuahua, shitzu mix with very coarse hair. They still worked great. We have already gotten our monies worth!!" —Ashley Smith

Promising review: "I can’t say enough good things about this little brush! It’s super lightweight and compact, the dryer is quiet enough to not scare my pets, and the brush is soft but sturdy enough to get them completely dry in minutes!! I used to worry that I would burn my dog with my hair dryer, even on the lowest setting. This little brush is the perfect temperature and I could tell she even loved how warm it was while she was drying off. My cat was not exactly ready to model for the camera but was very well groomed after using the brush! This has made bath time 100 times easier!" —Maricarmen

Promising review: "I just finished cutting toenails on my three dogs with their total cooperation, thanks to this product. I just put squirt cheese in between the nubs of the slow treater, laid it on the grooming table, and the dogs were happily licking away while I worked on their feet. No pulling away, no second person to hold the dog, just me, some cheese, and the Slow Treater. I’m a fan!" —D. Dipietro

Promising review: "This is amazing. I bought mine over a year ago now and my cats LOVE them. I have two cats, one we got as a kitten — she knows to scratch on it and has never scratched our furniture! I hung them up like shelves and the cats love to climb up high to hang out on them, sleep, stretch, and survey the house. My friends don't even realize they're cat shelves until the cats jump on them! Fast-forward to over a year later and they're still in pretty good shape. These are worth the money!" —Jayni

Promising review: "This was the best money I've ever spent on my dog's feet. My dog has curly hair and large paws, and our yard is 95% sand. In the past three months I've been wiping his paws ineffectively and spending most of my housekeeping time sweeping/vacuuming all the sand that he brings in. Our new veterinarian, upon hearing me whine about the situation, recommended I buy this product because she uses it with her own dogs. From the first time I used it I was sold! It looks like one of those oversized water jugs you can get at a convenience store, with a fitted insert for paws and legs. I stuck my hand (and my kids') inside to try it out and the bristles inside are very soft and will not hurt sensitive paw pads. I wish I'd found this years ago; it would have saved my sanity and my floors many times over. I've already recommended it to my friends and family with dogs who understand the struggle." —Heather

Promising review: "I'm sold. My dogs have never had fleas but I bought this for ticks now that we've been finding them on our dogs so frequently. The dog's hair should be without tangles but my dogs have fairly short hair and don't seem to mind when it catches sometimes. I've used it a few times now in the two days I've had the comb. We combed a tick that we could visibly see on the dog's legs and the comb caught it and kept it between the tongs — dipping the comb in water got it right out. I'm hopeful it will get ticks that we don't see immediately too." —Tanya L

Promising review: "I definitely recommend this!! My big ol' 75 pound Boxer, Bruiser, is the best lap dog and cuddler but his coat sheds sooo much and leave tons of white hair EVERYWHERE! I can’t leave the house without looking like walking toupee. After reading reviews for this product/model, I decided to give it a shot. After just the first pass of the tool, it remove even more hair than after his bath! I continued for about 10 minutes and Bruiser sat there patiently and actually seemed to kind of enjoy it. I love the concept and the visible release of hair and I’m excited to see long term progress after regular use." —Monique

Promising review: "The first picture of our Doberman was taken on April 18th (above, left). He was getting really bad chin acne and when he’d bump into you or boop you the acne would start to bleed. Sometimes the scabs would bleed and it was a never ending cycle. We tried a lot of creams but nothing was working. I ordered these wipes the first time back in April or May and I would use them twice a day to start. His acne slowly started to dry up, leaving only scabs. The bleeding became less often and soon stopped. After that the scabs went away and his little chin hairs started to grow back. It is now June 16th and the picture is how his chin looks this morning (above, right). This is going to be our daily routine and is something that needs to be maintained for our pup since it works! I’ve also used it in between his paws when he starts to itch or on hot spots. So far I haven’t found anything it doesn’t work on. Our dobie doesn’t really like the smell but it’s not a bad smell. I also use this formula to clean his ears. If your pupper is going through puberty or has some hot spots I recommend trying these wipes." —Caroline Cypres

Promising review: "I use these to wipe my pup's paws after walks and to do a once-over when he's had play dates and comes home smelling like an assortment of other dogs. The first thing that I noticed was the fabulous texture. The thickness and texture really make paw-wiping a breeze. I also noticed after just a day of use, my pup's fur felt SO soft, but without a residue feeling. It's also not causing any kind of reaction with his sensitive skin. There is a mild scent, but nothing that appears artificial or over-powering. I will purchase again (and again, and again)." —Yoo Ar

Promising review: "I love these raincoats. They are tough, cute, and keep my dogs dry. I have purchased other flimsy raincoats that did not keep my dogs dry. I am extremely pleased with these. The little hoods are cute too. I got these so that I only have to dry off their feet when they return from their walk. These sturdy little coats are great. My furry kids seem to like them and they stay in place without slipping and sliding. This is a fantastic price for great product. Awesome!" —Barbara N.

Promising review: "I wish I could give this thing seven stars, but five will have to do. I was able to pull entire sheets of undercoat out of our husky without disturbing the topcoat. I've never had anything work so well. It's even easier to keep the fur pile together. The fur stays clumped, instead of getting spread out and floating around. This thing really digs the loose stuff out so much faster and easier." —pvfjr

Promising review: "I got this for my three-legged cat because he can't scratch his left side. He'll be trying to scratch and all you see is his little nub going crazy. I found these and he immediately LOVED it! The expression on his face when he first tried it was priceless (pictured above). The only downside is that it's possible it'll fall off because it was hard for me to get all pieces of tape to stick on a corner at the same time, but I can always buy more double sided tape so not a big deal to me. The product is for Floyd, not me, and he's happy so five stars." —Pippa Runs

No more mats with the regular upkeep and it will save us from having to take him to the groomers and ending up with a shorn pup. This is definitely a great purchase for those with shaggy or blended coat breeds. My fellow doodle owners will understand!" —R. Langshaw-Simon

Promising review: "Our 11-year-old border collie mix has never been a fan of having her nails clipped. My husband was the only person who could come near her with a clipper and even then, our dog got very anxious. I was not entirely optimistic that this nail grinder would be any easier to use. I did as suggested, and acclimated our dog to the grinder for a couple of weeks by letting her see it, smell it, feel it (while it was turned off), and gave her treats for every instance. When we tried actually using it on her for the first time, she didn't react at all. Except to jump up and run over to the cabinet where her treats are kept when we finished with her nails. The grinder does make a noise, of course, but it's not loud or scary to my dog who is afraid of everything. It's easy to use and does a good job. I'm very pleased with this purchase!" —DLyman

These gloves are gentle and particularly helpful for aging, arthritic pets. You can read my BuzzFeeder coworker's post to learn why pet owners swear by this brush.
Promising review: "First let me say that I almost NEVER write product reviews. We have two hairy, senior, sister German Shepherd dogs. Lots of dog hair to be had — it seems like just looking at them makes hair fly off of them. Regular grooming with the Furminator removes a lot of hair but the dogs will only tolerate its use on their backs and sides, due to tender arthritic joints and generalized soreness from aging. So, I thought I would give this product a try — what a difference! While the gloves do not remove quite as much as hair as the Furminator, there are other distinct advantages for their use. They can be easily used over the whole body — including legs, soft belly, tail, and even the head. All areas can actually be massaged, which the dogs clearly enjoy. The dogs LOVE this. In fact, as soon as they see the gloves they go into their happy dance, happy face mode, while hip-checking each other out of the way to be first in line. Since using the gloves for a while now it seems that the quality of their coats is actually better. Their coats are softer and more glossy. Bottom line: these gloves have been absolutely great for my aging, hairy dogs." —celtic wife

My husband and I use these on our cats and it has made bathtime much more efficient! The cats love being pet and it makes lathering so much easier. Ever tried to wash a cat's armpit? I'm pretty sure it's only possible thanks to these. And this has nothing to do with grooming per say, but you can also get your pet a similar pool float for bathtime fun/Instagram worthy photos.

Just FYI, this isn't a flea comb. You'll want something smaller if getting rid of fleas is your goal!
Promising review: "This comb is excellent. The loose hair collects in the teeth and does not cause a mess by flying everywhere. The hair then slides right off in a nice, tight little bundle. My cat loves being brushed with this comb. Be careful not to press down when using this comb, just run it softly over the coat and it will sink in on its own and remove the loose coat hair. I am very pleased with this product." —Nickname Sin
