10 Must Haves For Ally Entertainment Circles By Lyrical Storm
I have been a professional independent entertainer for over 6 years. I have written poetry and songs for over 18 years while recently publishing eBook romance novels. Journeying into the final frontier I have started to write screenplays in hopes to become a director. Here are my 10 must haves in my circle of friends in this business.
10 must haves for lasting entertainment circle allies
1) Must reliably purchase and support your products and career. - I have worked with many independent artists in my career and bought their products in support. Those who want you to buy their products and won't buy yours are not allies. That is the first and most obvious sign of deception.
2) Must be willing to collaborate and hang out with you. - Entertaining is a creative process. True allies will make successful products with you and celebrate accomplishments with you many times throughout your career.
3) Willing to have your back and put out good word of you. - Everybody who entertains has a fan base and a hate pack. The greatest allies make their fan base aware of your special talent without being in fear of losing their core fans more important than that they will speak out for you when your hate pack gets out of hand.
4) Must make you want to grow as a person and entertainer. - No great artist stays entirely the same throughout their whole career. Everyone must grow in their own direction. A real ally will grow with you and give their honest feedback as you build your entertainment catalog.
5) Know exactly where they stand business wise and personally. - Some people are great business partners and others are just great personalities. If you can find both great! If not it should be a clear understanding what circle you place your ally in. If you don't life and growing pains will.
6) Never place you in situations they wouldn't want themselves. - No true ally will let bad circumstances fall upon you without trying to give you a heads up. The best ones will be there with you throughout the ordeal like it was their own and others will help any way they can. Always remember those people as allies for life.
7) Not driven only by money and fame. - Everybody wants success, money, and fame. At the end of the day there has to be more that keeps you going. Those only focused on worldly things will prove holding the flickering light of fame means more than having you as a friend in life. Allies should always be present when you accept fame not the other way around.
8) Must have a love for creating great entertainment that lasts. - Entertainment is art and nothing more great than making entertainment that can change the world. If the love for great entertainment doesn't shine within a person's soul why would you want them killing your artistic vibe? Great entertainers will always compliment each other.
9) Must not think too highly of yourself. - No entertainer should be stuck on their own craft. Everyone has a time to shine and the window of opportunity evolves for others to claim its peak. No one reigns in the entertainment world forever. Careers can be legendary but they will always be a passing shadow.
10) Humbleness is key - An entertainer is famous because of their talent and riches. If you can't take those away and still have a great person they lack humility. A great way many entertainers show their gratitude is through charities. Whether personally founded or generously donated the pain and suffering in the world should humble the greatness of any entertainer into willingly giving back.
