Sure, in Sweden a lot of people don’t stay at the workplace past 6 pm, but my parents and many of my friends’ parents bring work back home with them and work there in the evenings and during weekends.

You may not include anime, but if you do - when Sasha died in Attack on Titan. She was one of the most innocent and fun-loving characters left alive, only for her to be shot and bleed out right in front of her two best friends, just as you thought they were safe.
