Lisa Rinna Finally Explained Why She Left "Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills," And It Makes A Lot Of Sense

“Some of the most horrible things I’ve ever seen in print in my life, and it’s a reality show! It’s a stupid show!”

OK, so, at the top of 2023, Lisa Rinna revealed that she was leaving Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after Season 12, which finished airing last fall.

At the time, Lisa told Andy Cohen that she believed "everything Housewives has to go away for a while… I don’t need to hang out with anybody. I’m good to take a break.”

Now, Lisa is finally revealing the real reasons why she decided to depart the long-running Bravo reality TV franchise.

In a recent interview with the Evening Standard's ES Magazine, Lisa said that her life became "volatile" due to the fan attention that RHOBH drew.

“The way the fanbase reacts to the show now is not how it was when I first started," she said after admitting, “I didn’t want to live like that — I don’t think that’s healthy.”

Lisa also said that she was receiving death threats that she described as “Some of the most horrible things I’ve ever seen in print in my life, and it’s a reality show! It’s a stupid show!”

Indeed, Lisa didn't have any kind words for the franchise's continued existence: “I’m not sure how much longer that can exist in the zeitgeist, to be honest with you," she admitted.

Another reason Lisa cited for her RHOBH departure: her mother Lois — who passed away in 2021 — recently told her to.

“It’s so wild because half the world will believe this, half the world will say, ‘That’s so weird,'" she said. "I was sleeping and I heard her say to me, ‘It’s time for you to go.'"

What's more, Lisa also said that a psychic(!) confirmed that the spiritual interaction was real. “I told a psychic and she said, ‘Oh yeah, she’s come to me and told me that. She wants you to be happy and follow your dream, but she says it’s time for you to go,’” she claimed.

So that's that. If Lisa changes her mind and returns to the show, we'll only have to wonder what changed her mind...
