Look, this was fucking sad, we all agree. But before you even start, NO, HE COULD NOT HAVE FIT ON THE DAMN FLOATING DOOR. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TOO SUBMERGED IN THE FREEZING WATER. DON'T DO THIS TO US AGAIN. Anyway, RIP Jack.

3. Bambi's innocent mother, Bambi

If this didn't make you consider vegetarianism, IDK what will. Who didn't cry during this scene? I'm scared of you if you didn't.

4. Dobby, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

If you read the books, you found out in 2007, and then you had to relive it onscreen in 2010. It's only been about seven years, and the wounds on our hearts are still very fresh. We <3 you, Dob.

7. Meg, Hercules

Yeah, OK, she didn't ~stay~ dead or whatever, but they still put us through a lot with the whole death scene. Remember how it felt when you thought she was for sure dead AF? Meg was a hero. She was just like us! Except a cartoon, and effortlessly cool. And then she DIED! While saving Herc's life. It's so beautiful you could just...cry.

8. Marissa Cooper, The O.C.

Yeah, if you don't think this was as sad as you remember, I dare you to listen to the song "Hallelujah" by Imogen Heap. Good fucking luck.

9. Prue Halliwell, Charmed

The three sisters had escaped death so many times that it just didn't seem...real. But it became very real when Piper kept trying to figure out how to bring her back to life. MY GOD, it hurt.

10. Thomas J, My Girl

If this were a ranking, this might be #1. This hurt so bad. Why did this happen? Those damn bees. I know the bees are dying and we need to save them, but I am very mad at them right now thinking about this death.

11. Jen, Dawson's Creek

She died NEXT TO GRAMS! 😭 😭 Jen didn't deserve this. She left behind a daughter. This was so damn sad I can't breathe thinking about it.

12. Babe's mother, Babe

You know what? Animals in movies should never die. New rule. I know we didn't see it, but we had to hear Babe describe how his mother called all of her children "Babe." This was so sad and I think I stopped eating bacon for a solid month, minimum.

OK, yes, he was already dead at the beginning of the movie. But that moment of realization you had after he came to life and then went back to ghost form. Jesus. It was heartbreaking!
