Please Take 30 Seconds To Consider This Family First Campaign Trailer

You won't regret it.

This campaign trailer belongs to Peter Madden, the Family First candidate for the Senate in Tasmania.

Malcolm sent conservative voters a message when he danced in the mardi gras.Send one back! FAMILYFIRST in the Senate

There's a lot going on here. Let's unpack it.

1. Homosexual marriage = gay sex-ed for children

This is a pretty common argument against marriage equality here in Australia. It goes something like this: one, same-sex marriage becomes legal; two, currently unknown second step; three, gay sex education compulsory in schools.

2. Mardi-Gras-Malcolm (and Rainbow Bill) wants it!

Malcolm Turnbull and Bill Shorten both support same-sex marriage.

3. I'll fight against it!

Madden will vote against same-sex marriage if elected.

4. Malcolm sent conservative voters a message when he danced in the Mardi Gras.

Turnbull has been to watch the colourful Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade many times as the member for Wentworth. (As far as the public record is concerned, he has never boogied on down the parade route.)

5. Libs In Lower House For Economy BUT NOT FOR SENATE

Due to Turnbull's support for same-sex marriage and the Mardi Gras, the Liberals cannot be trusted on values. However, Family First supporters should vote for them in the House – for their economic policies only.

Madden told Fairfax Media he hopes the trailer will promote "strong rational discussion".
