This is the book that started it all. Daphne Bridgerton is looking for a husband, and ends up stuck with none other than Simon Basset. She doesn't like him that much, but he *is* handsome, and funny, and a super-wealthy duke. As the two have to spend more time together, their tumultuous relationship begins to resemble love, until an unexpected scandal changes everything and Daphne and Simon find themselves married.

This book is the intense "enemies to lovers" story that inspired the second season of the Netflix series "Bridgerton".

If you like the idea of old friends becoming lovers, this book is for you! Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington have been friends since childhood, and have both resigned themselves to single lives until they reconnect. Both lovers see the best in each other, but worry that their darkest secrets will ruin the romance. What happens when these deep, buried secrets come out in the open? Does it ruin their love... or strengthen it?

"Romancing Mister Bridgerton"

Bookish, witty Eloise Bridgerton makes a rash decision... to leave in the middle of the night to marry a man she's never met! Sir Phillip is kind, smart, and well-spoken in his letters, but in person he is rude, brash, and moody. Eloise worries she's made the wrong choice, but as the two hearts begin to yearn for each other, the penpals-turned-married-couple soften toward each other and begin a passionate romance.

Even worse, her feelings are requited. Francesca and Michael deal with love, loss, and grief in this tangled but heartfelt romance.

Hyacinth Bridgerton and Gareth St. Clair really like each other, no matter how much they refuse to admit to it. When Gareth receives a family heirloom diary, written completely in Italian, he recruits intelligent Hyacinth to help him translate. The pair uncover St. Clair family secrets, and embark on a dangerous heist together, one where they learn about the past, the future, and each other.

"It's In His Kiss"

Gregory Bridgerton is madly in love with Hermione Watson. She is beautiful, smart, and the perfect wife. Except for one small thing: she's in love with someone else. Her best friend, Lucinda Abernathy, thinks Hermione is entering into an inappropriate match, so she enlists Gregory to help her change Hermione's feelings. The only feelings that change, however, are Gregory and Lucinda's. The two fall for each other, and when Gregory learns too late that Lucinda is engaged, he must do everything he can to stop the wedding.
