I am the perfect example of the "peter pan" syndrome. Altho' I am supposed to be one ofthe grown ups, I still see myself as one of the kids. On a good day, I'm 12 - 15. A bad day, a really grouchy 10. Now I'm not saying that I'm immature, per sey, just that I can't grasp the concept of being 42. I can't relate to people in my age group, I feel as if I'm talking to someone's parents:-) Okay, that does sound a bit immature:-(
I still haven't figured out what I want to be when I grow up!!
However, all that aside, I can be a very rational, responsible grown up lady. I do it well and people seem to be impressed and convinced that it's the real me. Perhaps I was an astute, suit wearing, bun in my hair type in a previous life.......what? it's possible.
What else? In addition to being "a little" different", I am also a really proud mom. I have 2 sons. Great kids, major pains, love them to death. I'm on my 2nd husband. This one was worth waiting for. He can be a pain as well, but what are are you gonna do? I have another "son" - my youngest son's friend who has been living w/us for over a year. Can't imagine the family w/o him. Last we have Sophie & Grace. Grace is my 6 yr. old, slightly squishy, cat. She worships me. The feeling is mutual - MOST of the time:-) Then there's Miss Sophie. She is our Italian Greyhound. In case anyone is unaware of what an I.G. looks like it's pretty simple - 1st. - look at the little dog in the red hoodie that is on this page. She is 10 1/2 lbs., white w/a bit of fawn coloring on her face. She is shaped like a pointy bullett. Very aerodynamic. She has an extremely long skinny neck & a very long narrow muzzle. She also has a barrel chest & what I like to refer to as really long chicken legs. If anyone remembers the character from Ren & Stimpy that is what she looked like as a puppy. She was so bizarre she was cute. She is also translucent in the right light - pink skin, white fur. Okay, you now are imaging a scary, homely, scrawny dog. Not so. She's beautiful, sweet & loves to snuggle. Gee, can you tell I like her? Boring aren't I??????
Just so no one thinks that I am completely aimless, I did go to college, I may even have a few brain cells left.
I am active in numerouse causes. Animal rights, enviromental issues, preservation, victim's rights, women & children's issues, domestic & international, politics...
Yet, with all of that said, I am still one step away from climbing out that window & soaring off the balcony. Captain Hook, watch out.
