5 Reasons Why I Didn't Vote Today

As we all know, today was Election Day, and like millions of Americans -- I did not remember to vote. Say what you will about my duty as an American or my ignorance; I've got five solid excuses:

1. Chicago does not give out stickers.

2. I have no idea what this election was for. Are we getting a new President already?

3. I moved apartments and couldn’t take the bus 20 minutes north to my old voting location because I accidentally bent my transit card in half in the wash last week.

4. Seriously what are these elections for? Everything I know about politics is from Veep, and midterms were in season 2!

5. I was too tired to get up and go before work because I watched ‘Gone Girl’ before bed and was too freaked out to fall asleep. NPH’s throat slitting scene, WTF?!? That lady was crazy. (Spoiler Alert)
