Private journal passages, published last week, written by the the former president and beloved champion of the Republican Party a few years before his death in 2002, revealed that... welp, he didn't really like being "the champion" of the Republican Party all that much - or being a Republican at all for that matter.
Reagen deeply regretted switching from Democrat to Republican in 1962. The journal entries chronicle his lamentations and dismayed questions of "What if...?". They also revealed he voted for Al Gore in the 2000 election. Oh snap.
