So this happened at London's National TV Awards tonight. Yep, just Benedict Cumberbatch on live TV wearing shorts.
Jack Bauer was there to announce Benedict had won Best TV Detective at the show.
And while he may have been out of the country, he gave the best speech possible from sunny LA.
