The First Images Of Alexander Skarsgård As Tarzan Have Been Released And They're Hard To Handle
Putting the Ahhh in "Ahhh-uh-ah-uh-aHHHHH!"
This is how you no doubt imagine Tarzan, like in the animated 1999 Disney movie.
But now the first images of the live-action film, The Legend of Tarzan, have been released and they are quite simply 🔥 🔥 🔥.
The first official stills, featuring Alexander Skarsgård as the main man Tarzan, were released on Wednesday and they're heavenly.
Although one question: Where is the usual Tarzan loincloth?
Here he is alongside Margot Robbie, who plays Jane in the film, and we think you'll agree the side profile is just as important.
Here he is in action.
Skarsgård told USA Today how the classic plot will be tweaked for the 2016 version: "It's almost the opposite of the classic tale, where it's about taming the beast. This is about a man who's holding back and slowly as you peel off the layers, he reverts back to a more animalistic state and lets that side of his personality out."
Samuel L. Jackson (George Washington Williams), Christoph Waltz (Captain Leon Rom), and Djimon Hounsou (Chief Mbonga) will also star. David Yates, who was involved with four of the eight Harry Potter movies, will direct.
