You're minding your own business, having a drink by the resort pool, when Ricky sidles up to you and starts chatting. You get lost in his chocolate brown eyes and the two of you spend the next week jet skiing, eating lobster, and staring at the stars thinking about how small you both are in this universe. Ahhh, take me away, Ricky.

Vivian is the most popular girl in your school, so naturally she's mostly ignored you. But now it's the summer after senior year and you're both lifeguards at the local pool. One day, while you're both sitting in your lifeguard chairs, your eyes meet across the blue, chlorinated water and suddenly, the screams of the 500 little wet brats that come to the pool every day fade into the background. You stare into each other's eyes. Oh, if only this moment could last forever.

One day you're standing in line at the ice cream truck, trying to decide if you want a popsicle or a s'mores bar. Kiara catches your eye. She's struggling to keep up with the cone that's sending melting ice cream down her arm. You walk up to her, cool as a cucumber, armed with the best pickup line ever. "Need a napkin?" you ask.

All you had on the horizon for a summer in the Cape was a few afternoon sails and an opportunity to get your boat shoes wet, but Bradley had other plans. When he walked up to you at the clambake, sporting those darling little shorts that have, like, little whales or lobsters or something printed on them, who knew you would spend the rest of the summer holed up on his boat? And yes, his boat is also called _The Bradley_, but you're willing to overlook that.
