Nate Deserved A Better Ending On "Gossip Girl" And I'm Still Bitter About It

Not all men? You're right, Nate Archibald would never do this.

Hey there, Upper East Siders. I'm here to talk to you today about one of the gravest injustices in TV history: how Nate Archibald, the best man on Gossip Girl, ended up alone at the end of the series.

Look, I'm not saying Nate was perfect. Like everyone on Gossip Girl, he had his share of scandals, like when he cheated on Blair with her best friend Serena at the very beginning of the series. This was admittedly...not great.

But as bad as this was, Nate owned up to it. And honestly, compared to the rest of the characters, Nate was a pretty good dude. Usually, his heart was in the right place...and he certainly never sold his girlfriend for a hotel.

Nate was also easily Serena's best boyfriend. When they finally got together, he was SO good to her.

I mean, just look at THE WAY HE LOOKS AT HER.

So it just doesn't make sense to me that Serena ended up with Dan, who was LITERALLY GOSSIP GIRL. He made fun of her publicly for years, tried to ruin her life and all her friends' lives, and yet...Serena still chose him over Nate?!

Serena ended up with Dan, Blair ended up with Chuck, and Nate ended up with...no one.

Shipping opinions aside, this just makes me really sad. Even though Nate grew up very privileged, he still went through a lot with his family. And he just never really got to be happy. Like, ever.

It's been almost a decade since Gossip Girl ended and I'm still not over how Nate's story ended. And I'm not the only one:

Nate should have ended up with Serena at the end of gossip girl https://t.co/OjWXZ6phsq

It's been 6 years since gossip girl ended and nate archibald is still the love of my life chuck bass who???

In conclusion, Nathaniel Archibald deserved BETTER!
