Response to The 21 Struggles Of Having An Impossible Name:
I don’t think my name is hard or impossible, but apparently other people do. I hate having my name mispronounced with a passion!
My name (in a nutshell) is Keisha Sosa. English speakers tend to say “Keesha”, understandable but hate it. Spanish speakers pronounce it with a rougher-sounding CH & tend to add a non-existing L to make “Keichla” (that L… it gives me cancer). It’s pronounced the way it’s spelled, PEOPLE! (For English speakers, think of “Geisha” but with a K).
Lol! Just remembered. One time, an English speaker mispronounced my last name as “Shosha” which, if you know Spanish, was both hilarious & horrible to hear.
FB also doesn’t seem to mind pedophiles either. I tried reporting a page (& then more specifically, the comments in the page) of an exotic dancer who kept posting explicit comments about wanting to do a boy who looked no older than 13 years old. She kept saying he was 15 years old, that she likes them young & that she didn’t care what they thought of her (even her followers were saying she was crazy). FB failed to find the page inappropriate & did nothing. Also, it seems that she might have gotten a warning about it because those specific pedophilic comments were deleted the next day…
