Jennifer Morrison's Proud Of The Female Friendships On "Once Upon A Time"

"I think that’s something we need more of in the world."

Jennifer Morrison, AKA Emma Swan, AKA The Savior, has been our hero since Season 1 of Once Upon A Time.

She's been battling dragons, traveling between realms, and single-handedly keeping red leather jackets in vogue since 2011.

And tonight at New York Comic Con, she voiced her opinion about the female relationships portrayed on the ABC show — namely between the three lead women, Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Emma.

"All the women in the show are strong in different ways — but you look at Snow White, you look at Regina, and you look at Emma, the three strong women who are prominent on the show," she told the crowd, "and instead of having them in catfights, having them against each other, having them try to tear each other down, you have three strong women who are fighting for each other, and fighting to build each other up, and fighting to make each other better."

"That makes me proud to be a part of this show, because I think that’s something we need more of in the world."

"And, yes, we want to have gender equality, but we also need to be good to each other and take care of each other and we need to build each other up. I feel like it’s an example of something to be very inspired by."

"I’m inspired by the way [show creators] Eddie [Kitsis] and Adam [Horowitz] write these women. I’m inspired every day to be a better woman and a better friend because of the way they write these women."
