"Legally Blonde" Premiered 15 Years Ago And The Red Carpet Was Bonkers

The bend and WOW 2001 WAS DIFFERENT.

We can pretty much all agree that so far, 2016 has been a total dumpster fire.

We're all a little bit tired of it, right? Right.

So let's hop in a time machine real quick and go back to a simpler time: It's summer 2001, and on July 13 — this very day — the world was gifted with a brand-new movie called Legally Blonde.

And, wow, the premiere was like an alternate dimension. Look at Jennifer Garner with her Felicity then-husband, Scott Foley (aka Noel Crane).

Luke Wilson, aka dreamboat T.A. Emmett, just saw someone he knows.

Look at James Marsden taking a picture of himself with these two fossil cameras!

David Boreanaz is sporting some very frosted tips. But hey, it's 2001, so.

Selma Blair is having a great time.

And so is pre-Grey's Anatomy Katherine Heigl, in her khaki slacks.

There's Meredith Scott Lynn, aka Enid, aka Single-Handed Organizer of the March for Lesbians Against Drunk Driving.

And Oz Perkins, aka David Kidney, aka Dewormer of Somalian Orphans.

And now let's take a good, long look at Reese Witherspoon, aka Elle Woods, our heroine. Look at her beautiful pink eyeshadow and lip gloss.

Look at her hanging out with her husband, Ryan Phillippe. There's so much beautiful pink coordination going on.

    What a gorgeous, 2001-specific couple.

Ryan's sporting a mohawk and Ray-Ban aviators, but we must remember, THIS IS 2001. TIMES WERE DIFFERENT.

And look at the little Bruiser Woods in their sweaters! This is great, but not quite as great as...

...Hoku, aka singer of "Perfect Day," aka the BEST SONG EVER WRITTEN.

OK, it's official — let's just chill here in 2001 for a while.
