We're all familiar with the deep love Helga Pataki has for her favorite football head, Arnold.
...Even though some might consider it a freaky obsession.
But these two have a history that makes Helga's obsession with Arnold not seem creepy at all.
In the episode "Helga on the Couch," she talks to a therapist about her neglectful parents.
Her parents didn't drive Helga to her first day of pre-school, which made her deeply upset.
We see her walk alone in the rain and basically have the worst day ever.
But Helga tells the therapist there's one person who noticed her on her first day of pre-school.
That's right -- IT'S ARNOLD!
So, really, Helga's obsession with Arnold isn't crazy at all. It's actually super sweet.
