Recently, J.K. Rowling faced backlash when it was revealed that her new book, Troubled Blood (published under her pen name Robert Galbraith), was anti-trans.
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Rowling has faced this kind of backlash in 2020. In June, the Harry Potter writer made a slew of sarcastic Tweets regarding an op-ed in Devex about menstrual health.
She quickly defended her problematic tweets with an anti-trans essay, which a lot of Harry Potter fans were not happy about.
Some fans have reacted to Rowling's transphobic comments by wanting to cover their Harry Potter tattoos with different designs.
Other fans have reacted by refusing to read the books because it's hard to separate the art from the artist.
Everyone's reaction has been different, but it's hard to ignore her discriminatory opinions. If you're a Harry Potter fan, we want to know how J.K. Rowling's transphobia has changed your relationship with the series.
