I've said it before and I'll say it again — I am a woman who lives for her caffeine intake.
Which means I've long been a fan of the iconic espresso martini — and have wilfully parted with hundreds of dollars at bars, restaurants and clubs, in order to get my fave cocktail.
The first thing I did was grab a bottle of Kahlúa — the essential first step to perfecting this beloved cocktail.
Next, I whipped up a fresh shot of good quality espresso.
Then I simply added one part espresso, one part Absolut Vodka and one part Kahlúa into a shaker, with plenty of ice.
Now, all that was left to do was shake that bad boy with all the bicep strength I could muster. And while mixologists make this part look very chic, effortless and controlled, let's just say that I haven't quite nailed the ~aesthetic~ cocktail shaker moves. This was my expectation:
