There Was A Snowstorm In Tokyo And People Made The Most Extra Snow Sculptures Ever

Japan knows how to bring it.

On Monday, Tokyo was hit by a record snowfall — more than nine inches of snow fell on the city, its largest snowfall since 2014.

While the snow disrupted train travel and caused tons of plane delays, it also resulted in an amazing outpouring of creativity around the city.

Check out these cool as heck snow sculptures! People shared their icy cold creations with #雪だるま on Twitter this week.

    ...and Snorlax...

    ...and Totoro!

    Of course there were cats.

    And penguins.

    Look at this lil' worm.

Some even brought the snow inside.

Sadly, the snow sculptures are already melting across Tokyo...

But we'll always have the hashtag.
