On Thursday, Garrett Mager, from Frankfort, KY, was staying at the Hyatt Regency Louisville, when he was woken up in the middle of the night by commotion in the hotel atrium.
When Garrett ambled out into the hallway, he found hundreds of high school students belting out the "Star-Spangled Banner" together.
Pretty amazing, right? There were an estimated 650 students singing together.
It turns out this is actually an annual tradition for participants. All of the conference members stay at the same hotel and gather in the lobby each night at 11pm to sing together. Here's the group from 2017.
And the 2015 crew.
Still, Garrett's video managed to blow viewers away. It's now been shared more than 50,000 times. And commenters have been truly moved by the performance.
I'm not crying, you're crying.
