Millennials, Prepare To Feel Old As Dust When You Remember These "Little Golden Books" From Your Childhood

Mum would always pass you one of these in the doctor's waiting room and 8/10 times it was sticky.

I'm just going to come out and say it: Kids these days don't know how good they've got it.

But when it comes to entertainment, oh boy have they got it made.

Which brings me to an absolute relic of '90s childhood — and a treasured means of curing kids' boredom — the Little Golden Books series.

These small-but-mighty books were everywhere in the '80s and '90s — from your classroom, to the doctor's waiting room, to your own bookshelves (which were packed to the brim with the entire Disney collection).

And these books didn't just entertain, they enriched! They had kids learning about everything from good manners, to tidy house-keeping skills.

I mean, you tell me: Who is teaching children today to serve others before themselves? Because it was a Little Golden Book that had our backs!

On the back of every book you always found this iconic description for the series, calling them "books to grow with" — and oh man, all the nostalgic feels are coming back to me now.

The best part was, they retailed for about $1 a book — so you knew your chances of convincing Mum to buy you a new one were fairly high.

So tell me, fellow adults fighting to hold onto your youth, which Little Golden Book would you like to read tonight?
