Netflix Has Commissioned A Reboot Of "Heartbreak High" And I've Never Wanted Anything More

Rack off, this is the best news I've heard all year.

In yet another bright spot for 2020, Netflix has gone and busted our hearts wide open with news that they're rebooting Heartbreak High for a Gen Z audience.

🚨ANNOUNCEMENT🚨 Netflix has commissioned a reboot of the much-loved Australian young adult series #HeartbreakHigh. Inspired by the original ‘90s series, but totally reimagined for a new generation, Heartbreak High will make its global debut on Netflix in 2022.

Netflix announced the reboot only a few short weeks after revealing that the entire OG series would also be available to stream on the platform — as if we couldn't be any more indebted to them this year.

Heartbreak High was a true '90s icon, with its huge appeal owing to the show's unflinching exploration of themes like multiculturalism, class and sexism.

Netflix has commissioned eight new episodes of the rebooted series, which is set to be filmed in New South Wales next year, but won’t debut on our screens until 2022.

Fans' reactions to the news has been mixed — with some celebrating the idea of a fresh series, while others are crying out sacrilege.

@NetflixANZ If you screw it up you can rack off.
