If you've got your tree up, your cat is already plotting to take it down. They heard all about the mysterious inside tree when they were just a kitten waiting to find a home, and now they await the arrival of the tree with baited breath every year. With great puzzlement they watch their humans obsess over how the tree looks and adorn it with delicate and shiny playthings which, as they understand it, are there for them to grab onto and pull.

Your cat will take down your Christmas tree this year

Your cat let you enjoy the tree for approximately one hour before they decided the time was nigh to take it down. The crash was almighty, the destruction devastating, and their glee palpable. Like David and Goliath, they had conquered their foe and felt victorious.

Your cat has already taken down your Christmas tree this year

While other cats see it as their duty to destroy a carefully curated Christmas tree, yours could not be less bothered. An inside tree is not even close to being the weirdest thing that they've seen in your home so while you may have avoided that disaster, I wouldn't rest easy yet.

Your cat will leave your Christmas tree alone...they have bigger plans...
