Understandably, Mindy has thoughts about the public interest in her appearance, and she shared her conflicting feelings in a new interview.
While promoting a new swimwear collection she co-designed with the brand Andie, Mindy told People on Wednesday that she finds the heightened attention on her body to be “flattering” but “just a little much.”
"I know people are really interested in the changes in my body, and I think it's flattering, but sometimes, it's just a little much, so I try not to tune into it,” she told the outlet.
“The truth is that I spend so much time and energy trying to be healthy,” Mindy continued before detailing her workout routine. The multi-hyphenate, who is also the mother to a 5-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son, said she runs or hikes 20 miles weekly and also lifts weights.
“It's a big commitment for me,” Mindy told People about exercising. “I basically live in workout clothes so I can get it in."
Regardless of what others might think, Mindy said she feels good about her appearance. “I'm feeling really confident in my body these days, which is not something that I've been able to say for my whole life, unfortunately,” she told People.
This isn’t the first time Mindy has addressed comments about her appearance in recent months. In April, she opened up to Entertainment Tonight about finding a healthy lifestyle during the pandemic shortly after giving birth to her son in 2020.
“I eat what I like to eat. If I do any kind of restrictive diet, it never really works for me,” she told ET. “I just eat less of it... I wish there was something more juicy or dynamic about the way that I've lost a little bit of weight, but that's the way I've done it."
