Only A Fast Food Genius Can Pass This "True Or False" Quiz

There are 44,847 [Subways](http://www.subway.com/en-za/ownafranchise/franchisingfaqs) worldwide, around 36,000 [McDonald's](http://corporate.mcdonalds.com/mcd/our_company.html), and 6,503 [Wendy's](https://www.wendys.com/en-us/about-wendys/investor-dashboard).

It's true!

There are more Subways worldwide than McDonald's and Wendy's _combined_.

A large order of fries from Five Guys has [1,314](http://www.fiveguys.com/~/media/files/fiveguys/publicsite/nutritional-information/nutritionallergensaugust182015us.ashx) calories — nearly five times as many as a basic McDonald's hamburger, which has [250](https://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en-us/about-our-food/nutrition-calculator.html) calories.

A large order of fries from Five Guys has _five_ times as many calories as a hamburger from McDonald's.

This is an urban [myth](https://www.wafflehouse.com/history/)!

It's false!

Because Waffle House is open 24/7/365, their restaurant doors do not have locks.

That award belongs to [Starbucks](http://www.adweek.com/socialtimes/starbucks-is-the-first-brand-to-reach-10-million-facebook-likes/243152?red=if).

Pizza Hut was the first brand to get 10 million page likes on Facebook.

The first Dunkin' was actually called [Open Kettle](http://articles.latimes.com/2002/sep/23/local/me-rosenberg23).

Before it was called Dunkin' Donuts, the restaurant was named Midnight Oil.

Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays, but not for the reasons you may think. Founder Truett Cathy closed the first store because, after opening on a Tuesday, he was [exhausted](http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/10Commandments/ten-commandments-sabbath-holy-chick-fila-closes-sundays/story?id=8570384) by the time Sunday came around. In addition, Sundays tended to be slow around the restaurant, so the tradition stuck.

Chick-fil-A is closed on Sunday for religious reasons.

The owner actually just believed that cows were "the [queen[s]](http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/20/opinion/greene-rockola/) of the dairy business."

The founder of Dairy Queen named the chain after his wife, who grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin.

It was indeed a [BBQ joint](http://www.history.com/news/hungry-history/mcdonalds-surprising-start-75-years-ago), serving up slow-cooked pork, ham, and beef.

McDonald's started as a BBQ joint in San Bernardino, California.

While Colonel Sanders started cooking and selling fried chicken in Kentucky, the first KFC was actually in [Salt Lake City](http://www.smithsonianmag.com/smithsonian-institution/how-colonel-sanders-made-kentucky-fried-chicken-american-success-story-180955806/).

The first Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant was in Utah.

McDonald's _did_ once own 90% of Chipotle shares, but it [sold](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2013-10-03/chipotle-the-one-that-got-away-from-mcdonalds) them all in 2006.

Once the majority shareholder, McDonald's still owns 20% of Chipotle shares.

We've got to admit: It wasn't easy. And seriously, who knows this stuff?!
