The Cat Chariot Barbie Always Needed Is Here

The ultimate Barbie accessory for you and your cat to cherish together is on Kickstarter. Right. Now.

So, you like Barbie. You're undeterred or at least willing to look past all of Barbie creator Mattel's transgressions in the gender-bias and unhealthy body image departments. Great, we hear you! Now what do you need for Barbie? A mechanism allowing her to be toted around by your pet cat in a Roman chariot, of course.

Meet Jim Rodda. He's just a guy on the Internet making your dreams come true with his latest Kickstarter project.

That's right, Rodda, who has no affiliation with Barbie or Mattel, is campaigning to raise $15,000 on Kickstarter to 3D-print you a cat chariot.

The product isn't perfected quite yet, but Rodda's got his prototypes and planning laid out on Kickstarter. He admits to The Huffington Post that his own cat, Coca, couldn't even be bribed with $25 worth of salmon.

"I wanted to do something that was going to be really fun and I know that people on the Internet really like cats," Rodda wisely said. He's also using the project as a way to drum up a 3D printing side business.

But wait, there's more. Rodda wants you to know his epic chariot design isn't just limited to felines.

"You could print it hamster size and put a Lego guy in it," he said. "That would work. But if you're going to do hamster size, I would recommend multiple hamsters. Like a team of between four to six hamsters."

Again, that was A TEAM OF HAMSTERS.

On the flip side, with a big enough printer, German shepards and horses could get in on the fun.

Rodda's promo video is delightfully short and campy, so it's well worth your watch:
