Jessica Medina’s successful career encompasses every aspect of communications: reporting, producing, selling, marketing, radio announcing, charity work, advertising, promoting, public speaking and acting. Born in NYC and of Dominican descent, her many talents within the communications field stem from diverse experiences including bilingual reporter, producer, writer for Yahoo Voices, and sales/marketing/traffic expert. A devoted mother, Jessica skillfully balances career demands with the needs of a growing family. The scope of her impressive body of work includes on- and off-camera support for many networks, allowing her to develop a depth of knowledge that is highly profitable to her clients. Currently, she continues to work and grow her company Loving Curves Collective. In addition to that she is still writing independently for Yahoo Voices. She is also Senior Producer of the Entertainment and Lifestyle TV show En La Escena/On the Scene. I am the Founder/CEO of Loving Curves Collective. Loving Curves Collective is a woman empowerment company that works collectively with Independent Designers who cater to women that are curvy. We empower curvy women to rock those curves, educate women on how to show them off, and cultivate designers to showcase the beauty of curvy women.

    Photo credit Sonny Lisboa and Edwin Henao/ Cerro Music Group By: Jessica Medina New York City salsa lovers enjoyed the songs of their favorite artist this past Friday in the Madison Square Garden Concert "La Salsa Vive 2". This production by Felix Cabrera Presents was a total success with the stellar performances by Jose Alberto "El Canario", La India, David Kada, Tito Nieves,Gilberto Santa Rosa, Oscar de Leon, Raulin Rosendoand Willie Colon. This concert was a tribute to the deceased salsa legendCheo Feliciano. The crowd loved when Oscar de Leon brought to the stage the wife of Cheo Feliciano and he sang the popular song "Amada Mia". The performances the fans loved the most where Jose Alberto "El Canario" and La India. Most fans noticed the displeasure salsa singer Willie Colon had since he was the closing act. It seemed as if the artist wanted to continue performing when his time was up. Regardless, his performances of songs like El Gran Varon was definitely of the liking of all the fans.In totality, the performances were great and it was a great turnout at the garden. I had a great time along with my team as I remembered songs from my childhood and present. El Caballero de la salsa Gilberto Santa Rosa was also one of my personal favorites. Congratulations, to the Felix Cabrera team for a great production.

  • Boxing Legend Bernard "The Alien" Hopkins And Russian Fighter Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev NYC Press Conference

    IBF/WBA light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins (55-6-2, 32 KOs) and WBO champion Sergey Kovalev (25-0-1, 23 KOs) met today in a press conference in New York to promoter their upcoming November 8th unification fight at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA. Hopkins did most of the talking. Kovalev spoke briefly saying very little other than that he would leave the promotional work to Hopkins because he’s not a big talker. He is a fighter. “After I whop Kovalev systematically, I don’t want to be on nobody’s pound-for-pound list because that will make me a human,” Hopkins said in today’s press conference in New York. “You’re going to see an artist on November 8th. You’re going to witness Louie Armstrong. Watch the ageless one take care of business" said Hopkins. During the face-off, Hopkins appeared to trash talk Kovalev and put his face next to his. Kovalev reached up with his arms as if to push Hopkins away, but Hopkins said something to him calm him down. Golden Boy Promotions president Oscar De La Hoya said “I believe this is just the beginning for Bernard Hopkins.” "I respect Bernard Hopkins for taking this fight," said the 31- year-old Kovalev. "When I came to America, it was my dream to fight the best and now I am, I have my chance, He says he is an alien. He will punch, I will punch, then we see who is gonna go to Mars.

    I was looking for a salon to do my hair a few months ago and a friend of mine recommended L'energie Fifth Avenue Salon. Although, I am skeptical about doing my hair in new places I am so happy I went with my friend's recommendation. At first when I walked in the receptionist was very pleasant and then I noticed an postcard of the owner with many celebrities he knows and that have gotten services at this salon. Although this was impressive to me the most impressive part was the service. While I waited to get service they offered me water with lemon, tea, coffee etc. They were very attentive and the wait was very short. Now lets talk about my hair I received a trim and a fantastic blow dry that lasted me almost 2 weeks. I absolutely loved the way they did my hair and have continue to go to the salon. If you are in NY to visit or live here I highly recommended L'energie Fifth Avenue Salon.

    BACHATA KING ROMEO SANTOS DIDN'T JUST DO IT ONCE BUT TWICE IN YANKEE STADIUM. MR. SANTOS HAD TWO STELLAR BACK TO BACK CONCERTS WITH SPECIAL SURPRISE GUESTS AND AMAZING PERFORMANCES. I WAS ABLE TO WITNESS HISTORY ON HIS SECOND AND LAST CONCERT AT YANKEE STADIUM. THE EUPHORIA WAS FELT AS THE ANTICIPATION OF ALL THE "ROMEISTAS" ANXIOUSLY WAITED FOR THE KING OF BACHATA WHILE LISTENING TO THE GREAT MUSIC MIXES OF ALEX SENSATION AND DJ CAMILO. WHEN ROMEO SANTOS HIT THE STAGE THE EXCITEMENT WITNESSED THROUGHOUT THE STADIUM WAS JUST MAJESTIC. SANTOS SHOWED EVERYONE WHY HE IS THE KING OF BACHATA PERFORMANCE AFTER PERFORMANCE OF HIS GREATEST HITS AND CURRENT HITS WITH VERY FEW BREAKS WAS JUST IMPRESSIVE. THE FANS WERE STANDING THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE TIME NOT FEELING TIRED JUST ENJOYING HIS MUSIC AND CHANTING HIS SONGS. ON SATURDAY'S CONCERT WE ENJOYED FORMER YANKEE MLB PLAYER BERNIE WILLIAMS GUITAR SKILLS, PRINCE ROYCE WHO INTERPRETED DRAKES VERSE OF THE SONG "ODIO", MARC ANTHONY WHO HAD A STANDING OVATION AT HIS ARRIVAL TO THE STAGE PERFORMED THE SONG HE IS FEATURED IN WITH SANTOS "YO TAMBIEN" AND WHILE ROMEO TOOK A SMALL BREAK WHY NOT PLEASE THE CROWD WITH THE FAMOUS SALSA SONG "VIVIR MI VIDA" WOW TRULY AMAZING PERFORMANCES. AS A FAN YOU WOULD THINK WOW NOTHING CAN BEAT THIS WELL GUESS AGAIN THE REUNION OF THE GROUP IN WHICH MR. SANTOS INITIATED HIS CAREER "AVENTURA" REUNITED ON STAGE IN YANKEE STADIUM AFTER 4 YEARS. THE FANS AT YANKEE STADIUM WENT CRAZY WHEN THEY SAW MAX, LENNY AND HENRY COME OUT THIS WAS TRULY A MAGICAL MOMENT AND THE BEST WAY TO END THIS CONCERT. THE KING STAYS KING AND MAKES HISTORY SELLING OUT NOT ONE OF HIS CONCERTS BUT BOTH IN YANKEE STADIUM.
