You surely know what "twin films" are, even if you haven't heard the term before. It seems like at least once a year two movies with super similar plots, made by different studios, pop up within months of each other.
Think Deep Impact and Armageddon — two 1998 films about the government trying to stop a comet from destroying Earth — or No Strings Attached and Friends With Benefits — which both came out in 2011 and are about a pair of friends who decide to try to, well, become friends with benefits with no strings attached.
There are also three different Pinocchio adaptations coming out in 2022 — including one featuring the voice of Pauly Shore as the titular character.
The moment I first heard Pinocchio's voice, it was just...magical.
