"Lizzie McGuire" Star Robert Carradine Shared A $0 Residuals Check He Once Received, In Case You're Wondering Why SAG Is Striking

    "This is why we strike..."

If you grew up in the early '00s, there's a high likelihood you watched Lizzie McGuire on Disney Channel — so you're familiar with Robert Carradine who played Lizzie's dad Sam.

Last week, amidst the SAG-AFTRA strike where actors have been revealing how very little they receive in residuals, Robert shared an image of a residuals check for the incredible amount of ZERO DOLLARS he allegedly received from Disney for his work back in 2019. He captioned the post simply, "Why we're striking."

Imagine sending out a check for "Zero and No/100 Dollars" and thinking that's okay??? And imagine getting an envelope with a check in it only to find out that the amount is ZERO DOLLARS...

Check says Zero and No/100 Dollars

Fans in the comments shared in Robert's outrage at the laughable "amount," even pointing out that sending such a check made no sense at all. "The kicker is, it actually cost more in postage to send you a check for $0.00. They paid [sic] the damn post office more than they paid you for your work. Stay in the fight, strike on," someone wrote.

Welp, that — and so many other reasons — is why Robert and actors like him are out picketing every single day!
