Just a month ago, Halsey seemingly took a dig at Demi's song when talking to Paper magazine about bisexual representation in music, addressing the idea that many straight female singers sing about other women as an "experimental hookup":

The "don't tell your mom" reference sounded a lot like "Cool for the Summer," so Demi clapped back with the following tweet:
