I'm Totally Going To Watch "Legacies", The Spin-Off Of "The Vampire Diaries" And "The Originals"

Meet the next generation of Mystic Falls.

If you can't get enough of the world of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, you're in luck. The latest spinoff, called Legacies, is almost here.

It's set to debut in October 2018, and thanks to San Diego Comic-Con, we have our first look at the new show.

In the series, the Salvatore house has become a boarding school for supernatural kids.

    It's run by Alaric.

Hayley's daughter with Klaus, Hope, is now 17 and attends the school. She's the main character of Legacies, and is a "tribid" – with vampire, werewolf, AND witch blood.

Alaric's twin daughers, Josie and Lizzie, are both witches and also attend.

They're joined by a new character called M.G.

And, of course, the token human, named Landon.

While it feels deeply bizarre to already be onto the next generation of The Vampire Diaries, considering the original only started 9 years ago – I am still going to watch the hell out of this.

    CORRECTION

Hayley is likely not a major part of Legacies – an earlier version of this post suggested she was running the Salvatore school with Alaric. (It still *might* happen, but we don't know for sure yet!)

    CORRECTION

The Vampire Diaries premiered 9 years ago, not 11 years ago as this post originally stated. Sorry, I'm really bad at maths.
