GUYS, THEY'VE DONE IT AGAIN. After confirming the L part in R+L=J in the Season 6 finale, Game of Thrones finally confirmed the R part and showed Rhaegar Targaryen onscreen for the first time ever.
Apparently Bran has been sitting on this information all season (classic Bran), although he was missing one vital piece, which Sam luckily arrived at Winterfell just in time to provide: Rhaegar and Lyanna were actually MARRIED.
YES. THESE ARE JON SNOW'S PARENTS. RHAEGAR TARGARYEN AND LYANNA STARK.
THEY WERE IN LOVE. THEY WERE MARRIED. JON WAS WANTED.
We even got the missing piece of the flashback from the Season 6 finale, and heard Jon's real name for the first time.
Meanwhile Jon, who grew up hating being a bastard, is about as far from being a bastard as you can get.
