Emilia Clarke's Reaction To Dany's Fate On "Game Of Thrones" Will Make You Cry

"How am I going to do this?" Warning: this post contains spoilers.

Season 8 of Game of Thrones saw Daenerys Targaryen go from saviour to villainous dictator, murdering hundreds of thousands of innocent people before being killed herself by the man she loves.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Emilia revealed she cried when she read the Season 8 script and learned Dany's fate. She said she had to reread it several times before it sunk in.

She added that she dealt with her feelings by going on a very long walk.

Emilia also sought comfort from her family, even though she couldn't reveal what was troubling her.

She wrapped up the EW interview by declaring, "I stand by Daenerys. I stand by her! I can’t not."

Meanwhile, in an interview with the New Yorker, Emilia expanded on what it feels like now that people finally realise what she's been holding on to for nearly two years.

"I care for her so much," Emilia said, adding that she wanted to inject Dany's final moments with a sense of the person she was back in Season 1.

On a lighter and extremely relatable note, Emilia revealed she was afraid of Beyoncé's reaction to Dany's dark turn after learning the superstar was a fan of khaleesi.

Emilia Clarke: a queen, now and always.
