I think it's safe to assume that everyone reading this post has heard of Pez.
They were some of the coolest candy to have when we were young and, hell, they're still pretty damn cool now.
And while the novelty was basically all in the dispenser, did you know that it was designed that way for a very specific reason?
Does it look like something else to you? Like, maybe...an old-fashioned cigarette lighter??
And all the ads were filled with sexy ladies to help sell them.
It wasn't until 1955 that Pez introduced fruity flavours and redesigned the packaging to appeal to children.
And for a while, you could also get Pez dispensers in the shape of a gun that shot out the candy pellets.
