Pavlova Is Actually Not Even Australian

    Pavlova is widely known as a great Australian dessert.

    But... it's not actually even Australian at all.

    Yep, the first ever recorded recipe of pavlova comes from a New Zealand cookbook published in 1927.

    And pavlova was never even MENTIONED in Australia until 1935 when they stole it from us Kiwis.

    It was named after ballerina Anna Pavlova when she visited Wellington in 1926.

    And although various meringue-based desserts were created in Australia around the same time, none were called a pavlova and none of them were like the dessert we know today.
