It is a simple plastic tool, but it can really help your gift wrapping skills. It was so easy to use and for the first time in a long time, my gift wrapping was noticeably improved. Promising review: "I fell in love with this product some 15 years ago and I am so very happy that it's still available in the same wonderful formula as ever. It has a fantastic citrus scent. This takes care of any stain so fast and efficiently, it's become a party trick. I have seriously poured red wine over a white comforter to demonstrate how great it is to a friend once. It is a miracle in a bottle! We use it for all sorts of cleaning on materials around the house, and one bottle has lasted us years! This is definitely a product every home should have." —Melanie Nolen

    3. windshield cover with a thermal protective layer to help you tackle frosty weather *before* it has a chance to get in the way of slowing down your holiday travel. This handy layer makes removal of snow from your ~winter sleigh~ an easy job, without the need of a scraper or heating the car to melt any ice.

Promising review: "I decided I wanted a windshield cover this winter for my 2012 Dodge Journey — let me just tell you — best investment ever! I live in Lincoln, Nebraska and our winters tend to be pretty harsh. Right now our weather is mild, but I have saved minutes of scrapping in the morning when there was frost. Best thing about this product is it has elastic to go over mirrors and then flaps to go inside the car to prevent theft. It has worked fantastic. I put my windshield wipers over the material just to help it stay in place, especially when windy and that has worked great!!" —Katherine A. Medow

    4. A quick-fix light tester if you're someone who becomes a total Grinch at the sight of a blown light set. This works like a champ to reset defective bulbs that are messing up your tree display. Simply plug the light into this gadget and boom: bulb *and* display look as good as new.

You'll get a bulb tester, fuse tester, bulb puller, storage compartment for spare bulbs and fuses, and 10 clear replacement bulbs.

Promising review: "I bought this gadget in a last-minute (of course) situation of putting up Christmas lights. I have a very long, quite expensive pine garland with attached lights that go along my banister in my living room. I put them up this year, plugged it in and saw that half of the string of lights was not working. I found this little gadget and figured why not? Well, I am THRILLED — I took out one of the bulbs on the nonworking string of lights, attached this little gadget to the light socket and pulled the trigger ONCE — voilà! My light string is back to working in perfection and I couldn't be happier! Love this little gadget and I am thrilled to have purchased it for fewer headaches in years to come!" —Abbey Bennett

    5. Command decorating clips to securely hold up garlands, fairy lights, and pictures well into the new year. And these lil' stickies will allow you to decorate sans damage, since their foam backs can be peeled off as easily as they're plopped on.

Promising review: "Used these to hang string lights and flower garlands in a bedroom! They've been up since January and are holding strong. Application was easy, I was easily able to remove and replace any that I'd accidentally placed crookedly, hopefully they'll be as easy to remove when it's time for them to permanently come down. They blend in with the wall well, I've had multiple people ask me how the decorations are hanging. I even forget that they're there unless I'm seeking one out." —I Like to DIY

    6. The Pink Stuff all-purpose paste and spray (as seen on TikTok) that'll magically clean practically anything and everything in your home — and even in your closet! — that's getting a lot of use during the holidays. This potion in a paste reverses wall markings, cooked-on grease, soap scum, shoe scuffs, and whatever else that could use a little abracadabra alakazam.

Promising review: "WOW!!!! This stuff is amazing. I literally just have to spray it, let it sit for a few minutes, come back, and depending on what I’m using it for, I either wipe it and it comes right off, or I just use a scrubbing pad and it comes off. There’s nothing out there that is anywhere in comparison to this product!!!! This stuff is the absolute best. I highly recommend purchasing this. I can tell you that half of my cleaning products are now going to be thrown out because all I need is The Pink Stuff. Whoever invented this stuff is an absolute genius; if you’re a clean freak like me, this really is the way to go. Also it doesn’t have that nasty chemical smell; it smells great. Just buy it; you won’t regret it." —Twin33

    7. O'Keeffe's nourishing hand cream to prevent flaky, cracked, winter-affected skin that's honestly the bane of my existence around the holidays. This miracle worker does wonders after just one use! It's hands down a true must have.

Promising review: "Great lotion for dry, cracked hands or those who wash their hands frequently. I keep it in my bag at work (healthcare). Constant hand washing leaves my hands dry to the point that my fingertips split, especially in winter. When I first got this product, I used it once and hated it. Someone had recommended to me to try it again so I gave it a second chance and fell in love. There’s a fine line between the right amount and too much. Too much feels almost tacky on your skin. However, if you use too much, let it absorb for a few minutes and then wash the excess off, it still leaves your hands feeling restored. I’ve even used it around my nose and on my lips when they’re extremely dry. Works well for that too, but I wouldn’t recommend using it as a lip balm. No scent makes it even better as no one around you has to deal with a perfumey residue. Very glad I didn’t give up on this product!" —sstrobes

Get it from Amazon for $8.48 (also available in multipacks).

    8. A helpful "Pack this!" checklist that'll ensure you've got allllll the things you need for your holiday adventures — and some you may not have even thought of. So long to the haunting feeling of "did I pack my phone charger?!"

    the packing checklist

Promising review: "I hate making lists trying to figure out what I need, and this is PERFECT for trying to figure that out. It has a lot more on the checklist than I would ever take on a trip, but it does accommodate for every kind of trip, from a simple vacation across state lines to a business trip to a wedding halfway around the world. I'm pretty pleased!" —Alyssa Kauffman

    Amazon

The jumping into the leaf pile part will be just as great though!

Promising review: "I really like these mitts. They greatly facilitate cleaning up leaves and yard debris. They are very durable for yard work. I wouldn't use them to move gravel or rock. These mitts save time and more importantly a lot of back-wrenching work. I use these too when out on yard jobs. If you have a lot of leaves or loose brush to gather these make the job a great deal easier." —Marty R.

Get them from Amazon for $15.05+ (available in three colors).

    10. A single-handed tape dispenser that even Santa would be astounded by, since this little thing will help you wrap gifts with ease *and* in record time.

Push the lever to dispense a 1-inch piece, or keep it pointed to create a custom length of tape.

Promising review: "My last tape dispenser was awful. Threading the tape through the mechanism was a PITA. The gears and springs would fall out when you opened the damn thing. Eventually, the tape started to cling to the roller and would rip the paper I was trying to tape. This design is great; the tape self-threads when you put it on the rubber bands, the tape stays on the inside of the device until you press the trigger to release it, the tape self-cuts when you let go of the trigger. Everything can be done with one hand. Wonderful!" —Billster

Get it from Amazon for $16.99 (available in four colors).

    11. A zipper puller you've probably been looking for your entire life, since this lil' thing will make sure allllll your party dresses are zipped up and ready to rock for every single holiday bash.

Everything from dresses to jumpsuits with zippers in the back to boots for those with mobility issues...it's a true godsend! Would recommend this product in a heartbeat! Don't settle for cheap imitations...this is the one you want and the one you need!" —DCB316

Use this to whip up festive treats as a fun activity that'll keep your energetic kids busy this season — and we guarantee they'll not only impress your guests but also Santa and his reindeer.

    These cutters are dishwasher safe!

Promising review: "I’m so glad I went for this set instead of spending tons of money on steel cutters. I made Halloween cookies with my 7-year-old nephew using the halloween ones, and we both had lots of fun! Cuts nicely and cleanly, dough does not stick to the plastic, and I hand-washed them and let them dry on the rack just like any other utensil/dish. Can’t wait to try the Christmas ones next month!" —JK

Get a set of 101 from Amazon for $27.49.

    14. A teeth-whitening pen to ensure your pearly whites stay sparkling white in between the days of guzzling down caffeine and wine all in the name of holiday cheer. The best part is they even whitened the stubborn coffee stains I had between my teeth. I’ll keep using them. They are super easy to use and have no taste that I could discern. Really good product." —LCassie

Promising review: "This is the BEST product EVER! I will never use another hair detangler ever again. We use this product daily in my house, my daughter, my son, and I. Both of us girls have long and thick curly hair, and it allows us to brush through our hair with no problems! And my son mostly uses it to style his hair before gel, and because it smells so good! We tried a few products from Walmart, Ulta, and Target, and nothing was good enough. This is now on my Subscribe & Save every month!" —Tamira McLelland

Then I found this product...PURE MAGIC!!! The nontoxicity of the product is definitely a plus, it doesn't smell bad and doesn't sting your lungs like some hard chemicals do. Its biodegradability is a plus! I feel better knowing I'm not dumping some more toxic chemicals down the drain. Most importantly, it works!!! BuzzFeed Shopping editor Emma Lord loves this thing. Here's what she says: "I've owned one of these babies and have faithfully used it every week for upward of two years, and especially love it while working from home — it simplifies breakfast because I know no matter what assortment of groceries I'm working with, there are precooked eggs to add some protein to it (I like mine medium-boiled 🍳). If my dinner is boring or seems like it needs a little extra oomph to it, I'll throw in an egg from this too. Some reviews note that the alarm on it is a little loud, but the new models have significantly decreased the volume and sing a little song instead!"

Promising review: "I saw someone on TikTok with this and gasped! Ordered it right away. I had no idea these things existed. Super easy and convenient and the hard-boiled eggs came out perfectly. Promising review: "Really like how it comes with secure packaging!!! The quality of the cheese board is great compared to a previous one I bought. It’s easy and convenient to cut the cheese and ham using their cutlery set. And I really like how the cutlery set is stored in a drawer under the display portion of the cheese board which prevents children from reaching it. The drawer comes out completely for easier cleaning to get rid of the crumbs. I’m also satisfied with the bonus items that comes with the cheese board. I can use the smaller board for cutting small items and using the kitchen set for cooking and serving. Would buy one more for a Christmas gift!!!" —Ruijie Duan

This also works as a noise muffler and prevents other unwelcome guests of the creep crawly variety from wandering through your front door.

Promising review: "We got this for our apartment door that opens directly to the hallway where the elevators are. Since we installed it, the noise has decreased substantially. It was relatively easy to cut and install and has stayed out for ~9 months now without any issue. It also stops our door swinging as the friction/drag on the floor acts as a stopper without making the door difficult to open or shut." —Andy

    28. An enzyme-based laundry stain remover to effectively break down immediate, heart-stopping stains or the dried-in schmutz that you somehow forgot landed on your favorite holiday outfit a while ago. This magic sauce also eliminates toe-curling odors, so yep, even those pit stains won't stand a chance against this stuff.

Check out a TikTok of the laundry spray in action.

Puracy is a Texas-based, family-owned small business specializing in plant-based, chemical-free, hypoallergenic home products. And with every purchase made, a portion is donated to local families in need.

My BuzzFeed Shopping colleague Emma Lord uses this and tells us: "This spray does a number on all those other miscellaneous stains in your life, like wine, coffee, soy sauce, makeup, and period blood! I recently bought this to test it for myself, and can attest to how well it works to get period blood out even after you've tried something else. I stained a pair of beloved bright-blue bike shorts in my sleep and tried to get it out with soap and water, but the stain was still there when it came out of the wash. I treated it with this, stuck it back in the wash, and BOOM, it's like it never happened (I panicked before I could get a before and after, please forgive me, laundry gods)."

Promising review: "For whatever reason, I am ALWAYS spilling things on my shirts and I cook every night (sometimes I remember the apron, sometimes I don't). My clothes are a mess by the end of the day. I'm not proud of it, but there it is. I have tried EVERYTHING there is to remove stains and this is the absolute BEST thing out there. (There is simply not a major stain remover that I have not tried.) The only thing close is a long pre-soak (I mean like six hours) in Oxyclean. With Puracy, you get the best result by doing it well in advance, but for me that is another plus because I would far rather spray them when I put them in the hamper than do it all at once just before I do the laundry. It seems to get everything out and I've never had any trouble with damaged fabric. I don't really review very much, but this is seriously outstanding." —NYC Buyer

Promising reviews: "Forget that these are microfiber. These really are the BEST sheets ever! I purchased the light pink and they are absolutely gorgeous! They are the softest and most comfortable sheets I've ever had! The customer service is outstanding. I did receive a set with some random areas of darker pink dye. I contacted them and they apologized and offered me either a full refund or a new set. Of course I chose the new set, as I said, these are the best sheets ever. AND...I get to keep the first set of sheets! They are not see-through either. They are not hot. They are wrinkle free and deep pocket with elastic all around. No other fitted sheets would stay on my bed! These are the only sheets I will ever buy." —Amy Beth Luthor

"I found these through TikTok and honestly they’re some of the nicest bed sheets I’ve had. It seemed weird when I first took them out the packaging, but once they were on my bed they looked so nice. This ingenious home good is made from upcycled car windshield glass.

Celsious is a Black woman-owned business located in Brooklyn, New York. They specialize in creating eco-friendly laundry and cleaning products.

BuzzFeed Shopping editor Maitland Quitmeyer loves this little tool! She said: "Like many of you, I've been living in sweats and PJs as I WFH full time. And it's made me revisit the state of some of my loungewear. Take for example, this college sweatshirt I wear all the time — as evidenced by the rather EXTENSIVE pilling all over it. So when I saw this pumice-esque sweater stone (it's made from upcycled car windshield glass — how cool is that?!), I decided it was worth the try. We've featured electric pill removers (mostly the fan-favorite Conair one) many times, and they really work. But sometimes you're looking for a little more detail or control — that's where this stone comes in handy. I was able to navigate around the contours of the logo on my sweatshirt with ease, removing pills using the corner or the entire flat bottom in a few quick strokes. It truly took no time at all — the sweatshirt was done in mere minutes." Read more of her sweater pill remover review (#1).

Seems to be standing up to lots of use with little wear showing. We use the large and medium sizes daily and are very happy with them." —Nathan Bales

Promising review: "I have six elderly cats, and a few of them oftentimes leave smelly pee puddles to register their disdain at whatever cats get 'peed off' about. It's not a litter box problem and, although I've caught one or two of them doing it, I can't blame them all. This product works great on fresh messes as well as dried ones. After blotting up fresh pee, I saturate the area with Rocco & Roxie's odor remover and let dry. For dried stinky stuff, I just saturate the area and let it dry. It has a pleasant odor and completely eliminates the ammonia odor. Believe me, I've tried all kinds of products, and this one works the best. I buy gallons now just to have on hand. It's better than smelling that awful pee!" —mona mia

I swear by these bad boys not only for general storage purposes, but also if I know I'm going to be traveling for an extended period of time. As someone who tends to pack for every eventuality (who doesn't like to be prepared?!), I have learned that it's better to travel with them than without — especially since it's more or less a guarantee that my clothes are gonna take up a ~substantial~ amount of room in my suitcase. And if I can use something that's gonna shrink the size of my bulky hoodies and/or big tees in order for me to create more space, I'm sure as heck gonna do it. Plus, the satisfaction is indeed guaranteed because when you see those chunky layers flatten into a pancake...it's just *chef's kiss*.

Promising review: "I've used these bags before and they are so helpful. Even use the medium one for travel and I have tons of extra suitcase room. The clothes don't come out wrinkled at all as long as you fold them nicely before placing in the bag, then the air sucks out keeping them safe and sound and very compact." —Susie Kochsmeier

    35. A vacuum sealer invented to hold the title of Hero of the Holidays. No, seriously, this thing does it all: marinates meat, preserves leftovers, and saves space in your freezer so you can make room for more important stuff...like ice cream for your apple pie.

Promising review: "I used the NutriChef Vacuum Sealer for the first time this week on several occasions. It is simple to use for vacuum-packing leftovers and uncooked food items for the freezer or for cooking immediately using my sous vide. The roll of vacuum bags allows the bags to be tailored to the amount you want to store, so there is no wasted bagging material or space in my freezer. The vacuum function can also be used with the provided stopper to remove air from bottles — e.g., opened bottles of wine. I am very pleased with this product as well as the accompanying bags." —MJG

Promising review: "This lint remover wasn’t confusing or bulky like some others. You just run it down your clothes to remove lint, hair, and fuzz, and it does its job! I was worried it would be sharp to the touch but it’s not, which is great if you have little kids. It’s easy to clean — you just pick it out with your fingers; it doesn’t get stuck." —JLemons

    37. Hero Cosmetics Mighty Pimple Patches available in a variety of sizes to tackle the real ~nightmare before Christmas~. Slap one of these suckers on overnight to combat *all* your zit-based emergencies. See ya, whiteheads, you no longer have a seat at the Thanksgiving table!

This pack contains: 12 Mighty Patch Original patches, 12 Mighty Patch Invisible+ patches, and 2 Mighty Patch Surface patches.

I personally love this little zit kit. There's two different patches for single zits and a longgg one to take down a cluster of them. Their effectiveness definitely varies depending on the stage of the whitehead, but I like to think of them as my security blanket when I'm traveling or when I know I'm going to be wearing my mask for a long period of time. The most effective method I've found is to use the Original Patch at night and then the Invisible+ one on the same spot during the day. You barely feel or see the patch, for that matter, and I know it's getting to work on sucking the gunk out and healing the area without me even having to lift a finger. After a couple of uses, my spots appear less inflamed and intrusive — and I don't have to do any picking or popping....I mean what more could a girl ask for?

Promising review: "I have tried at least six different types of pimple patches, and these are the absolute best. They are the only ones that stick to my body acne — others just fall off, even if I clean the area well before sticking them on. These stay on all night, through tossing and turning and everything. Also, I've accidentally left the house in the morning with them on my face and neck because I forgot they were there — they stick so well, the edges don't peel up, so they stay invisible. Truly great. For best results, clean the area well with a toner or soap and water, and dry thoroughly before applying the patch." —Hero Cosmetics Customer

    39. Some compression socks to comfortably keep your ankles and legs from ballooning and scaring the bejesus out of you on long-haul flights. Because let me tell you, having to squish swollen toes back into boots after some time in the air can make one feel like a real Scrooge.

Promising reviews: "With three weeks of international travel coming up, I purchased these to combat swelling in my feet during the flights. I had noticed swelling after three hour domestic flights, so I was worried about what almost 30k miles would do! I wore these on every leg of the trip and never noticed any swelling — even after the 10- to 15-hour flights. They are very comfortable, too!" —J. Beaty

"Highly recommended. I am currently 8 months pregnant and wear these beauties every single day. I come home from work, take them off, wash them, and hang them to dry for the next day. I never knew how painful the swelling in my legs and feet could be until recently, and these socks were a complete game changer. I stand for over 9 hours a day at work, so I can't begin to explain how badly my legs and feet ached. I have a picture of what my feet looked like with (right) and without using the socks (left). The difference is tremendous!!" —OStocky

    40. Fizzing toilet tablets that alleviate the need to arduously give your toilet a daily scrub down. Just plonk one of these scented tabs into your throne to give it a good cleanse, because gone are the days of you brushing through grimy rings (and whatever else is in there) when you've got potlucks to prep for and white elephant gifts to wrap.

Pardo Naturals is a Black-owned and woman-owned small business helmed by Rita Pardo, a mom who was looking for natural hair, body, and home products that wouldn't irritate her daughter's severe eczema.

BuzzFeed Shopping editor Melanie Aman uses these and raves: "For all the folks who don't enjoy cleaning the toilet — myself included — these dissolving tablets make quick work of a grimy bowl. The tablets are a little hard to dislodge from the plastic container (although that does make me feel confident that they're secure during transit and won't break; mine all arrived intact!), but once you get one out, you drop it in the toilet and let it do its thing. It'll start fizzing — just like a bath bomb — loosening any stains and streaks in 10 minutes so they come away with a light brushing. I never let the toilet get too bad (and usually it takes awhile for me to notice any buildup since there are only two people in the apartment), so I can't vouch for them if you have really set-in hard water stains or haven't cleaned the commode in six months. But if you're looking to ditch the harsh cleansers in your toilet cleaning routine, this is a great addition to your lineup."
