Do These British TV Shows Exist Or Did I Just Make Them Up?

Yep! This was a real show that aired on ITV for one season.

"Flockstars": celebrities learn how to herd sheep

I just made this up.

"Old Flames": A dating show with a ~twist~, all the potential partners are the contestants' exes

_Who's Doing the Dishes?_ has had three series so far and is hosted by Brian McFadden of Westlife fame.

"Who's Doing the Dishes": people go to celebrity's house for dinner but don't ~see~ them. If they can guess who it is, the celeb has to do the washing up.  


I just came up with _Skip Hunters_ tbh.

"Skip Hunters": contestants have to go through skips to find stuff of value. Whoever makes the most money wins!

I made this up. But stand by the fact this could be kind of interesting.

"Meet My Mum": The contestant's mum sets up a series of challenges for potential suitors, and the winner gets a date with the contestant.  


This was an actual thing! It aired on Sky 1 and a dog called Shadow (pictured) did actually learn how to fly a plane.

"Dogs Might Fly": some dogs are challenged to see if they'd be able to learn to fly an aircraft.

Yep, this is fake.

"Bar Wars": competing bars have a night out at each other's vanues and have to rate it. The pub with the highest overall score wins.

This is real and very, very graphic a lot of the time. It ran for eight series on Channel 4.

"Embarrassing Bodies": people get a doctor to look at their "embarrassing" health problems on TV.

This isn't real but would, in my opinion, be WILD.

"Think Before You Ink": a tattoo artists drafts some designs up, half great, half cringe. The contestant has to pick one at random and then gets it done.

This Channel 4 show is definitely real and is...well it's an experience.

"Naked Attraction": people choose partners based on their naked bodies, and then at the end when they've picked someone, that contestant ALSO gets naked.

This aired on BBC Three for five series and also spawned the series _Snow, Sex and Suspicious Parents_ and _Festivals, Sex and Suspicious Parents_.

"Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents": people go on a debauched holiday unaware that their parents are watching them the whole time.

This show doesn't exist.

"Schools Out": parents have to sit mock modern-day exams and compete against their kids.

You don't know much about British TV, or you just appreciate that our television is so varied that it's hard to distinguish from what's real and fiction here.

You must have a pretty decent knowledge of British TV, although some of the real ones sounded pretty fake to you and vice versa.

You know your stuff when it comes to the weird world of British TV, so these questions didn't really trip you up.
