Princess Leia's Daughter Is Reprising That Iconic "Star Wars" Look

Anyone who watched the hilarious Scream Queens series premiere knows that Chanel No. 3 (Billie Lourd) loves herself a fuzzy pair of earmuffs. But this sartorial choice is not solely a function of fashion.

Who became synonymous with the now-iconic double-bun hairstyle, thanks to 1977's Star Wars.

But like everything on the savvy series, there is more to this look than meets the eye.

"There is a very specific reason why she wears them, and you find out in either episode six or seven," Scream Queens co-creator Brad Falchuk told The Hollywood Reporter. "We find out why she wears the earmuffs, but it’s not just fashion. It’s necessity. The funny thing with that is that it didn’t start as a necessity. It started as fun, and then once we had them and it looked great, it was like, 'Oh, we’ve got to give a good reason for it.' So we put that in there."
