25 TV Shows And Movies That Are Perfect To Watch No Matter Your Mood

I haven't seen a Hallmark show in far too long.

We asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us which TV shows and movies they are always in the mood to watch, and I am definitely planning on watching some of these this week. Here are the results:

    1. When Harry Met Sally

Harry and Sally lie in bed looking at each other while Sally cries in "When Harry Met Sally."
    Columbia Pictures

I don’t know why, but I could watch this movie no matter what mood I’m in. The dialogue is so different from what is seen in a typical romantic comedy. The characters feel like real people.

    2. When Calls the Heart

Teacher Erin gets used to moving to a small town in "When Calls the Heart."
    Hallmark Channel

I love When Calls the Heart and anything else by Hallmark. The Hallmark storylines are so uplifting, and I literally can't keep myself from crying sometimes.

    3. Moesha

    Moesha looks contemplative at school.

I've probably watched the entire series like 10 times, and I never stop going back to it. Moesha just feels familiar to me and reminds me of when I was young and carefree.

    4. Derry Girls

Michelle, Orla, and Clare in a classroom in "Derry Girls."

I watched both seasons three times in one day because I couldn't get enough! Rewatching also helped me catch a few jokes I missed the first time around because of their Irish accents.

    5. The Great British Bake Off

The judges discuss baked goods with one of the contestants on "The Great British Bake Off."
    BBC Studios

I have seen every episode ever filmed, but I will still binge it while I'm folding laundry or if I can't sleep. When my husband hears the theme music, he goes to the other side of the house.

    6. Bridget Jones's Diary

Bridget, her mother, and Mark stand together at a holiday party in "Bridget Jones's Diary."
    Miramax Films

I don't care if my cat has run away or a piano has fallen on my foot and shattered it into oblivion — I can and always will watch Bridget Jones's Diary. Bridget is a quirky hot mess, Daniel is the perfect British bad boy, and Mark is a sophisticated dreamboat.

    7. Criminal Minds

The "Criminal Minds" team enjoy a retirement party.

Once you finish watching it, it’s been long enough since you’ve seen the first episode, and you can start it all over again.

    8. Avatar: The Last Airbender

Katara touches Zuko's face in "Avatar: The Last Airbender."

It’s unexplainable how calm it makes me to wake up and watch Avatar. Especially on a bad morning, the way I calm down, distract myself, or get to a better mindset is by watching it.

    9. New Girl

Jess is on the couch while on the phone with her mom in "New Girl."

I'm always in the mood to watch New Girl. It’s so funny, original, and unpredictable. You never know what’s going to come out of Jess's or Nick’s mouth, and when it does, it never lets you down.

    10. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Titus discusses his new song and music video on "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt."

I leave this show on as background noise while I clean my house or work on my laptop. I love listening to Titus Andromedon and his witty commentary!

    11. Lord of the Rings

Frodo holds the ring in "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring."
    New Line Cinema

This series is my lazy, comfy afternoon go-to. It relaxes me and brings back warm memories of college when it first came out in theaters. Watching any of these films feels like a warm blanket.

    12. Pride and Prejudice

Elizabeth looks at Mr. Darcy as he confesses his love for her in "Pride and Prejudice."
    Focus Features

This is such a visually stunning film and is super romantic. It has amazing costumes, visuals, and dialogue on top of a star-studded cast! Who could say no?

    13. Umbrella Academy

"The Umbrella Academy" kids stand outside for a press photo.

I'm always in the mood to watch Umbrella Academy. It has brought me so much comfort, and there are different scenes perfect for the different emotions I'm feeling.

    14. Supernatural

Sam and Dean sit in a kitchen while they are tied up with garland on "Supernatural."
    The WB / The CW

Supernatural has funny episodes, sad episodes, and action-packed episodes. It always feels like hanging out with family whenever I watch.

    15. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" team stands and listens to Captain Holt.
    Fox / NBC

This show has unproblematic characters, great plot, and amazing writing. It cracks me up every time.

    16. Friends

The "Friends" cast sits around Monica's kitchen table.

While it may seem basic, I consider Friends my background show. I can put it on anytime, and even though I’ve seen the whole series too many times to count, it never gets old!

    17. Schitt's Creek

Johnny and Moira look concerned in "Schitt's Creek."

Schitt's Creek is the perfect show for whatever mood you're in. It makes you smile, and a few parts make you cry. It’s a masterpiece.

    18. To All the Boys I've Loved Before

Lara Jean writes a letter in "To All the Boys I've Loved Before."

This movie is on constant repeat for me. It's a feel-good film that puts a smile on my face no matter what.

    19. Stranger Things

Hopper sits at his police chief desk while wearing the uniform in "Stranger Things."

The '80s music makes me smile, and if I'm ever feeling sad, I can watch Dustin and Suzie sing "The NeverEnding Story." If I don't want to watch anything too serious, Stranger Things it is! It's dramatic and comical at the same time.

    20. Legally Blonde

    MGM Distribution Co.

Legally Blonde is a movie I can watch no matter how I’m feeling. It always makes me happy by the end because it washes away all my other complicated emotions!

    21. RuPaul's Drag Race

"RuPaul's Drag Race" cast sits together on a couch and shares a laugh.
    Logo TV / VH1

I could watch every season of RuPaul's Drag Race over and over again and never get tired of it. The looks, the challenges, the lip syncs, and the drama give me life!

    22. The 100

Murphy, Clarke, and Jasper stand on earth with concerned looks in "The 100."
    The CW

The plot never gets old no matter how many times I rewatch it. Plus, the writers did a great job with the characters and really make you feel connected to them, so I always find myself wanting to watch them and reconnect.

    23. Black Dynamite

"Black Dynamite" does up his rhinestone coat.
    Apparition / Destination Films

I could watch Black Dynamite any day, and it's always a good decision.

    24. Sabrina the Teenage Witch

Harvey, Sabrina, and Libby talk in the hallway in "Sabrina the Teenage Witch."
    ABC / The DW

Sabrina the Teenage Witch is great for when you need to mindlessly watch something. The plot is super easy to follow and the humor is really light, which is great when you live with younger siblings.

    25. Black Mirror, "San Junipero"

Kelly and Yorkie sit in a club with shocked faces in "San Junipero."

I am jealous of anyone who is seeing this episode for the first time! Every time you think you know where it's headed, it surprises you. When you rewatch it, you see the clues unfolding perfectly.
