Jennifer Lopez, Jenny from the block, and any and all other monikers don’t even describe the near perfection this woman radiates without even trying — not to mention her and I share a whole birthday. Leos unite or whatever.

And even more than that, we're both from NYC — there's no Brooklyn-Bronx beef here, okay? Just pure New York love.

But even if you didn't have our ~history~, how could you not stan Jennifer Lopez? She shuts down every red carpet and is even getting some Oscar buzz for her new movie, Hustlers!

She starred in the Selena biopic for goodness-sake and killed it IMO. Five-year-old me was shaking when I first saw the movie, and I'm sure all the latinas in the diaspora were as well.

But for all her acting prowess, we can't forget Ms. Lopez can dance like no other. She got her start as one of the fly girls on In Living Color, because POC solidarity is a thing that exists!
